*020 THEO X100 (Theological Foundations)
Prerequisite(s): Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher; Department Approval
½ CR. 1 LEVEL Sr.
The focus of the students’ previous seven semesters of theology has been to understand Catholic teaching and integrate it into their lives through action and prayer. This course builds on that foundational knowledge and introduces an approach for studying theology on the college level. For that reason, emphasis will be placed on higher level thinking skills, independent research and investigation, and more in-depth writing. Although some topics (such as the Bible and the Sacraments) will be repeated, the approach to these topics will be from a college theology perspective. This course is offered during the second semester.
This course may be taken for 3 college credits through St. Louis University. Students register and pay for the course at the beginning of the semester.
